چکیده

The title compound, Ca[Sn(H2PO2)6], was formed after a few days when tin(II) fluoride was allowed to react with phosphinic acid at ambient conditions. The structure consists of chains of Ca(2+) and Sn(4+) cations in octa-hedral sites with -3 symmetry bridged by bidentate hypophosphite anions. The chains are hexa-gonally close packed along [001]. The discovery of the compound and the successful structure refinement provides strong evidence that an isostructural compound, originally described as the mixed-valence compound, Ge2[H2PO2]6 [Weakley (1983 ▶). J. Chem. Soc. Pak. 5, 279-281], must be reformulated as Ca[Ge(H2PO2)6].

cyclo-Hexa-μ2-diphenylacetato-κ12 O:O′-hexa-μ3-oxido-hexakis[phenyltin(IV)]

In the cyclo-hexa-meric centrosymmetric title compound, [Sn(6)(C(6)H(5))(6)(C(14)H(11)O(2))(6)O(6)], each bridging oxide O atom is connected to three Sn atoms and each carboxyl-ate group bridges a pair of Sn atoms so that the three independent Sn atoms all adopt SnCO(5) distorted octa-hedral geometries, resulting in a drum-shaped Sn(6)O(6) core.

Bis[4-(dimethylamino)pyridinium] hexakis[bromido/chlorido(0.78/0.22)]stannate(IV)

The Sn atom in the title salt, (C(7)H(11)N(2))(2)[SnBr(4.67)Cl(1.33)], lies on a center of symmetry within an octa-hedron of disordered halogen atoms. The three independent halogen atoms are each a mixture of bromine and chlorine atoms [with site occupancies for bromine of 0.614 (1), 0.831 (1) and 0.888 (1)]. An N-H⋯ hydrogen bond is present.

Lithium and beryllium hypophosphites.

The structures of monoclinic (C2/m) lithium dihydrogenphosphate, LiH2PO2, and tetragonal (P41212) beryllium bis(dihydrogenphosphate), Be(H2PO2)2, have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The structures consist of layers of hypophosphite anions and metal cations in tetrahedral coordination by O atoms. Within the layers, the anions bridge four Li and two Be cations, respectively....

Triethylammonium tetrachlorido(pyridine-2-carboxylato-κ2 N,O)stannate(IV)

The cation and the anion in the title salt, (C(6)H(16)N)[SnCl(4)(C(6)H(4)NO(2))], are linked by an N-H⋯O hydrogen bond. The Sn(IV) atom in the stannate anion is chelated by the pyridine-2-carboxyl-ate group and exists in a cis-SnCl(4)NO octa-hedral geometry. The cation is disordered over two positions in a 0.564 (1):0.436 (1) ratio.

Bis(trimethylphenylammonium) tetrabromidobis(4-chlorophenyl)stannate(IV)

The Sn(IV) atom in the title salt, [N(CH(3))(3)(C(6)H(5))](2)[SnBr(4)(C(6)H(4)Cl)(2)], exists in a distorted all-trans SnC(2)Br(4) octa-hedral geometry. The Sn(IV) atom lies on a center of inversion. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯Br hydrogen bonding is observed between trimethyl-phenyl-ammonium cations and the Sn complex anion in the crystal structure.
